Definitions
“Chicken Treat” means A.F.F. Franchising Pty Ltd ACN 009 370 594 of Level 12, 12 Help Street, Chatswood, NSW 2067;
“Finalist” means one of the three (3) entrants selected by the judging panel from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period based on the judging criteria.
“Prize” means AU$5,000 to be paid by electronic funds transfer to the Winner’s nominated Australian bank account in accordance with these Terms and Conditions;
“Promotion” means the Chicken Treat 50th Birthday $5k Giveaway;
“Promotion Period” means between 10:00am AWST 23 September 2026 and 12:00am AWST 30 September 2026;
“Winner” means the Finalist whose entry is determined by the judging panel to be the best entry, having regard to the judging criteria, and who is awarded the Prize.
Entry
7. To enter, during the promotion period, eligible entrants must submit their favourite Chicken Treat memory via the Chicken Treat competition page on the website here or the Chicken Treat app
8. Multiple entries are not permitted.
9. The Finalists and the Winner will be determined by a judging panel based on one or more of the following criteria: humour, relatability, originality, creativity, emotional connection to the Chicken Treat Brand, uniqueness and suitability for promotional use. Chance plays no part in determining the Finalists or the Winner.
10. Entry is open to WA residents aged 18 years or over. This promotion is not open to residents in NSW, ACT, VIC, QLD, SA, TAS, or NT.
11. Employees and Franchisees (and their Immediate Family Members) of Craveable Brands Pty Ltd ACN 151143 065 (or any related entity, as defined in the Corporations Act 2001) are not eligible to enter.
12. In clause 10. “Immediate Family Members” includes spouse, de facto spouse, parent (natural or adopted), child or sibling.
Entry Standards
13. Chicken Treat may, in its absolute discretion, reject, remove from consideration or disqualify any entry that:
contains material that is unlawful, defamatory, misleading, deceptive, threatening, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, hateful, obscene, offensive or otherwise inappropriate;
contains content that Chicken Treat considers may damage, disparage or adversely affect the reputation, goodwill or brand of Chicken Treat, its related entities, franchisees, employees, products or services;
promotes illegal activity or conduct that is dangerous, irresponsible or contrary to community standards;
infringes the intellectual property rights, privacy rights or other rights of any person;
contains confidential information or personal information relating to any third party without that person's consent;
is not the entrant's original work or is otherwise submitted in breach of these Terms and Conditions; or
is otherwise unsuitable for publication or use in connection with the Promotion.
14. Chicken Treat reserves the right to edit, redact, shorten, adapt or decline to publish any entry for any reason.
15. Chicken Treat's decision regarding the suitability of any entry is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Finalists
16. Three (3) Finalists will be selected by the judging panel from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.
17. The Finalist selection will be conducted at 9:01am AWST on 30/09/2026 at Level 2, 71 Walters Drive Osborne Park WA. The Finalists will be notified via phone or via email.
18. As a condition of being selected as a Finalist, Finalists must be available to attend an event at Elizabeth Quay, Perth, Western Australia at 9:30am AWST on 2 October 2026 (or such other date, time or location notified by Chicken Treat).
19. If the event cannot proceed due to weather, safety, government restrictions or causes beyond Chicken Treat’s control, Chicken Treat may determine an alternative method for selecting or announcing the Winner.
20. If a selected Finalist is unable or unwilling to attend, cannot be contacted, does not respond within the timeframe specified by Chicken Treat, or otherwise fails to satisfy these Terms and Conditions, Chicken Treat may determine that Finalist is ineligible and may select an alternate Finalist from the remaining eligible entries. Entrants are responsible for ensuring their contact details are current and correct.
21. The Winner will be announced at 10:00am AWST on Friday 2 October at Elizabeth Quay.
22. Chicken Treat reserves the right to continue the Promotion and determine the Winner from the remaining eligible Finalists if one or more Finalists withdraws, is disqualified or is otherwise unable to participate.
23. The judges' decision on the Winner is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the judging process or outcome.
24. As a condition of participating in the Promotion and accepting the Prize, each Finalist and the Winner agree to participate in reasonable publicity, promotional and media activities requested by Chicken Treat, including interviews, photography, filming and social media content. Each entrant grants Chicken Treat a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, publish, communicate and adapt their name, image, likeness, submitted story and statements made in connection with the Promotion for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media without further compensation.
Intellectual Property and Privacy
25. Entrants grant Chicken Treat a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, adapt, publish and communicate their entry in any format for promotional and marketing purposes.
26. The entrant acknowledges that entries may be edited, shortened, adapted or combined with other material for promotional purposes.
27. Entrants warrant that their entry complies with these Terms and Conditions and that they have obtained all necessary permissions and consents from any person referred to, depicted or identifiable in the entry.
28. Personal information will be collected, used and disclosed for the purposes of administering the Promotion, contacting entrants, conducting publicity activities and delivering the Prize in accordance with Chicken Treat’s Privacy Policy which can be found here
29. Entrants acknowledge that if selected as a Finalist or Winner, their name, suburb, image and entry may be published.
Prize Claim and Verification
30. There is one (1) prize consisting of AU$5,000 to be paid by electronic funds transfer to the Winner's nominated Australian bank account.
31. To claim the Prize, the Winner must by 5pm AWST on 16 October 2026, provide their full name, date of birth, residential address and details of an Australian bank account held in their name for the purpose of receiving the Prize.
32. Chicken Treat reserves the right to verify the identity, age, residency and eligibility of any entrant, Finalist or Winner at any time. Chicken Treat may require the provision of identification documents, proof of Western Australian residency, proof of age, bank account verification, or any other information reasonably required to confirm eligibility and facilitate prize fulfilment.
33. If an entrant, Finalist or Winner is unable or unwilling to provide information or documentation reasonably requested by Chicken Treat, provides information that is false, misleading or incomplete, or is found not to comply with these Terms and Conditions, Chicken Treat may deem that person ineligible, withdraw any entitlement to the Prize and select an alternative Winner.
34.The Prize will only be paid into an Australian bank account held in the Winner's name. Chicken Treat will not be responsible for any delay or inability to transfer the Prize resulting from incorrect or incomplete banking information provided by the Winner.
35. The Prize must be claimed by 5pm on 16 October 2026. If the Prize is not claimed within that period, or the Winner is deemed ineligible, Chicken Treat reserves the right to select an alternative Winner from the remaining eligible Finalists.
General Conditions
36. Chicken Treat is not responsible for any loss, damage, cost, expense or injury suffered by an entrant in connection with the Promotion, including where arising from technical difficulties, equipment malfunction, website or app failures, communications delays, lost or incomplete entries, or participation in the Promotion or use of the Prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
37. Chicken Treat reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the Promotion at any time where reasonably necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control or to ensure the fair and proper conduct of the Promotion.
38. Chicken Treat may disqualify an entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits misleading information or otherwise acts in a manner that compromises the fair conduct of the Promotion.
